YouTube Video: Corn Starch Non-Newtonian Fluid Experiment as in Big Bang Theory
gutes Aufzeigen des Effekts
Videobeschreibung:
Non Newtonian fluid, Corn Starch + Water ( until heavy when stirring quickly), 300 Watt Speaker, Using frequency 35-38Hz (Use FG sound generator App on Android to regulate frequency. Audio in clip has been added seperately. (Experiment by: Karim AbdelWarith, Yehia Akoush and Amr El Faham) -
YouTube Video: Non-Newtonian Fluid on a Speaker
gute Vorführung des Experiments
Video-Beschreibung:
Corn starch is a shear thickening non-Newtonian fluid meaning that it becomes more viscous when it is disturbed. When it's hit repeatedly by something like a speaker cone it forms weird tendrils. The video was shot at 30 fps and the speaker cone was vibrating at 30 Hz which is why there is no blur. This is the original video with the actual sound of the speaker. -
YouTube Video: Slow-Mo Non-Newtonian Fluid on a Speaker
längeres Vorführvideo mit ersten kleineren Ergebnissen (Frequenzbereich)
Videobeschreibung:
Everyone has played with a mixture of corn starch and water (or at least I hope they have). This was one of my favorite experiments as a kid. Your hand slides into the slime easily when moving slowly but the mixture behaves as a solid if you hit it quickly. That is what is meant by 'non-Newtonian' - the fluid's properties change depending on its relative motion. These properties can be exploited to dramatic effect as has been shown on speaker cones before. Here I wanted to understand what is going on, what frequencies and amplitudes work best so I used a slow-mo camera. - Bücher
